I appreciated the very logical, hands-on, engaging workshop! I have a toolkit full of engaging strategies for ELs. I appreciated that there was a full day on oracy. I also found the explanations of paired literacy units and small-group instruction flexibility to be an important mind shift for what will be best for students going forward.

The workshop is a comprehensive training that focuses on Biliteracy, while incorporating collaborative learning. The presenters are extremely organized from the manipulatives in the middle of the table, to the materials used for the activities, to the composition notebooks. Using the organization of the notebooks, my ideas are already organized into topics and I’m ready to implement the ideas immediately with my staff.
This workshop is a fantastic series for educators whether they are new or experienced in bilingual or dual-language education. The Adelante consultants  help participants understand key concepts tied to biliteracy (and dual language) and provide lots of great ideas that can be brought directly back to the classroom.
I loved today and everything was informative yet very fun to learn about. I loved the hands on and actually experiences while also talking to us and teaching these concepts instead of just all slides and presentation!
